Sat-Light IF covers the range of 10 - 200 MHz. They are used to transmit modulated outputs received from modems or up/down converters over single mode fibre. Inputs of 70 or 140 MHz require no modifications or adjustments.

All satellite modulation schemes are accommodated - digital or analog. Format independence is achieved by inherently low phase noise. The RF over fibre signal is converted at the transmitter end to an optical signal by direct modulation using a semiconductor laser diode. At the receiver end the signal is converted back to RF by a photodiode.
The 19-inch chassis accommodates up to 8 Sat-Light modules in addition to main and standby power supplies. Standalone versions are also available.
