From the company's very first DC - 1 GHz tee attenuator, came the technology that enabled the design of the first DC - 5 GHz, the first, DC - 10 GHz, and the first DC - 18 GHz coaxial attenuators.

These designs led to the development of the distributed resistor card attenuator element, which is the basis for most all attenuators manufactured today from DC - 60 GHz. Until the original patents expired a few years ago, most major attenuator manufacturers in the U.S. were licensed under one or more Weinschel Engineering, Co., patents.
