SDH Modulator/Demodulator High Speed Modems |

|
The Modulator family is probably the most widely known Newtec product, and can be found in a wide range of applications as a result of its versatility. Basically, a modulator can be built up from following modules: Modulator modules: The data provided by the selected interface are modulated on a carrier according the DVB-S or the DVB-S2 standard and one of the many modulation and coding schemes you can choose from. There is a choice between either an IF modulator (50-180 MHz) or an L-band modulator (950-1750 MHz), which can be extended with RF frequency block converter modules to C-, Ku-, and K-bands
The AZIMUTH family of demodulators incorporates the following members: - NTC/2163: DVB-DSNG/S demodulator - NTC/2263/xU: DVB-S2/DSNG/S demodulator oriented to the contribution world and other professional (telco) applications - NTC/2263/xC: DVB-S2/DSNG/S demodulator oriented to the distribution world (DVB-S2: Normal Frames only) - NTC/2056: SDH demodulator which allows the reception of a 155,52 Mbit/s (STM-1) link over a 72 MHz satellite transponder
As for the modulators, a wide range of interface boards can be provided: - DVB board NTC/3453 for ASI, SPI, & serial LVDS - TELCO board NTC/3458 for HSSI and G703 ASI Deconcentrator board NTC/3454/AD for 1 to 4 or 1 to 8 ASI de-concentration - GbE board NTC/7015/xx for an IP interface
The RF input signal interface can be at either L-band (2 inputs) or IF (1 IF input and 1 L-band input). A frequency reference module (NTC/3462) can also be provided. |
