Minerva Video Network Platform (VNP) is an MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 encoder/decoder optimized for delivering broadcast quality video over DSL networks. Designed for high availability by using the latest in embedded systems technology, VNP offers telephone companies the perfect solution for delivering live television services to their subscribers.

Designed with industry leading video processing technology, VNP is a true plug-and-play network appliance that generates superior picture quality at xDSL bit rates. Simply plug in audio and video using standard connections, assign IP addressing information, and connect the Ethernet cable. Once the system is powered on, it can automatically begin transmitting to the specific destination IP address in unicast or multicast.

VNP features a wide range of advanced video and system settings including temporal and luminance filtering, forward error correction, packet reordering, and jitter compensation, which increase the ability to adjust and control video quality based on system and network conditions. All VNP parameters can be changed easily from a web browser anywhere on the network.
