REACH applies to substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities of 1 tonne per year or more. Generally, it applies to all individual chemical substances on their own, in preparations or in articles.

Registration documents the performance of this duty and requires manufacturers and importers to submit:
A technical dossier, for substances in quantities of 1 tonne or more, and
A chemical safety report, for substances in quantities of 10 tonnes or more.

As Sematron UK Ltd do not import or distribute any substances in excess of 1 tonne per year it therefore considers itself exempt from the regulation at this time.
