Jersey Microwave is adding to its' Digital Phase Shifter DP Series with a super low loss / high power L-Band Phase Shifter, DPL-1214-6. DPL-1214-6 is a 6-bit solid-state phase shifter with 5.625° phase increment, which operates from 1200-1400MHz.
The design incorporates a wide variety of techniques using microstrip technology with the combination of switched lines, loaded lines and pin diode switches to achieve minimum loss and linear phase over the operating frequency band, and a guarantee of phase monotonicity. RF inductors as well as elements of the DC bias circuits are etched on the substrate allowing for minimum parts count, maximum repeatability, lowest production cost and highest reliability. The unit offers an insertion loss of 1.20 dB and 0.35 dB insertion loss variation over 360° phase shift and provides capability of "Hot" switching between phase states and On/Off RF switch under input power 100W CW . Phase accuracy is ± 2° for 5.625° and 11.25° bit, ± 3° for rest of the main bits, ± 5° for any combinations, repeatability ± 1° and ± 4° of insertion phase tracking from unit to unit. Input/Output VSWR is 1.5:1 max and the switching speed is <2000 nsec. The unit has RS422 Control (parallel interface) and operates on +5V @ 800 ma and -65V @ 50 ma. Operating temperature range is -40° C to +80° C. Custom changes can be made to meet your needs!
