Operations Assistant
Purpose of job To provide the assistance required to efficiently respond to the needs of our Sales and Support departments, monitoring and provision of Health and Safety requirements, and provision of facilities responsibilities.
Main Accountabilities Provide cover for all absence in Goods-in and Warehouse Ensure Goods-in is manned between 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m Assist in warehousing activities to ensure Health and Safety requirements are met e.g. when fork lift truck is in use and for heavy lifting activity Carry out deliveries and collections in company vehicles as required Responsible for carrying out and recording regular Health and Safety checks to include Fork Lift Truck, Fire Alarms, ladders and other mandatory requirements defined within the Health and Safety procedures Carry out Health and Safety Audits under direction of QAR Responsible for tidy and accurate storage and labeling of customer owned and other designated stock within individual contractual requirements Monitor company vehicle mileage logs and ensure accuracy Regularly monitor the condition of the Company pool vehicles, monitoring service due dates. Maintain the movement and storage of company document archives Responsible for day to day facilities requirements e.g. replacing light bulbs, assisting with pat testing, gardening and adhoc maintenance Provide assistance within customer care and for other departments as required including some work at customers sites

Education/Qualifications Good level of general education including English IT skills - familiarity with the Microsoft office suite and Sage line 50 Clean driving licence Fork Lift Truck Licence (training may be given)
Experience Knowledge of goods-in/out and warehousing Administration Customer care environment
Personality Organised Disciplined Approachable Good communicator Confident
Physical General good health
