Switch to Sematron  

A large UK defence contractor had been appointed to supply the Royal Navy with some communications equipment for use onboard ships.  The contract required the systems to be delivered to an extremely demanding schedule due to operational demands.

Their chosen supplier for a large quantity of electromechanical switches had informed them 2 weeks before the items were required that they were unable to supply the parts in that time frame due to manufacturing difficulties. The project manager contacted Sematron UK Ltd, and explained the position they had been put in and asked whether we could help. During discussions, Sematron identified the switch specification, the delivery schedule requirements and available budget and contacted Sematron partners to find a suitable solution.

RLC Electronics a leading designer and manufacturer of coaxial switches who have been partners with Sematron for over 10 years were able to supply the correct switches to the specification required, and more importantly meet the delivery timescales and the customer was able to deliver to the Royal Navy on time. 

During this process, the customer was also let down by a supplier who could not deliver RF interconnecting cables on time, again, Sematron worked with another of their partners, Rosenberger Micro-Coax and were able to deliver the items on time and in budget.
