Sematron 's Wave of Success
A test equipment manufacturer had been using Tabor Electronics 8025 Arbitrary Waveform Generators as a signal source in production test for their communications test sets. They were designing a new test set which required a 250MS/s ARB for testing. Due to their satisfaction with Tabor's 8025, they were keen to evaluate Tabor Electronics new Wonder Wave series which breaks new ground in sample clock speeds, memory and instrument control.
| The Wonder Wave series' unique design combines two technologies, making use of the best qualities from each of the types of generators. While being a true arbitrary waveform generator (AWG), memory-based with all the memory management capabilities to create complex waveforms, it implements a direct digital synthesis to create all the standard modulation formats and frequency agility capabilities. |

During the evaluation process, it was identified that some additional functionality would improve the customer's testing capability. These requirements were captured and Sematron worked with their customer and Tabor Electronics ' design team to implement these as standard features in the WW2572 250MS/s ARB. These improvements add even more capability to the class leading Wonder Wave and helped our customer meet his objectives. |
